KC portrait photography – Owen turns five and kicks chemo’s butt!

I had the honor of capturing Owen’s portrait session a few weeks back and today he turns five! This brave little guy has been battling Stage 4 end stage renal disease for years. During the kidney transplant evaluation on May 20th, 2021, an ultrasound was done and a tumor was found on Owen’s liver. Blood work confirmed liver cancer called hepatoblastoma. Chemo treatment was started in the summer of 2021. His hair has finally grown back in since his last treatment (yay!) and a celebratory photo session was in order! I love capturing families and allowing kids to simply play and well, be kids! I always think these generate the most amazing images and Anton family was no exception. In-home family photography – Perry family

In-home sessions have to be my favorite type of family session because I get to document families as they really are in the comfort of their own home. From playing kitchen to snuggling on the couch there are always so many great moments to capture. The Perry family was especially fun and easy to work with and they really embraced letting me document who they are. My favorite shot might be Carter jumping on the bed because that pretty much sums up childhood 😉 Thank you Perry family! Andrea

KC newborn photography – Baby James

I adore this family and sweet baby James! He could not have been more perfect during our newborn session and I love the crisp and clean look of these images! I can’t wait to watch this little guy grow up and introduce him to baby Musfeldt this spring 🙂 Congrats again Jaclyn and Scott, he is beyond perfect!

I feel like these images are a bit more of a photo essay in the adventures in childhood 🙂 Rachel and Tim are the kind of parents you know are having just as much fun as their kids. They are creating such amazing memories for their family and I loved getting to document this point in their journey. Their session took place in Weston, MO because it has become a 2nd home for their family and place of abundant memories.
