I’ve had the honor of getting to document this lovely family over the years for various life moments. However, I had never photographed these two sisters and their families. I am always aiming to capture more than a pretty picture. Instead, I want my clients to see their images and really feel the connection to that moment.
This dreamy setting and easygoing personalities really allowed me to do just that. It sounds corny but you really do have to trust the process and let my direction lead you. Also, you must allow yourself to enjoy the shoot and really be yourself. I love capturing sweet connections between family members and those subtle in-between moments.
We achieved our dream like setting by shooting at Shawnee Mission Park. It’s not a secret that this location is one of the best in the city. That is because of all the different areas to utilize without having to drive out into the countryside.
Fall is a great time for photos and you’re never too late, I keep so many spots open just for moments like these. I specialize in capturing moments between siblings, grandparents and kids by drawing out their playful side and allow everyone to be at ease and in the moment.
