My favorite part of senior pictures is getting to capture kids doing the things they love the most. For Drew, that passion is dance and I had the best time being creative with these shots. He is such an incredible artist and it was special getting to photograph his incredible art form. I wanted his expression and movement to take center stage with a clean and simple studio backdrop. These might be some of my favorite studio pictures ever.
After the dance photos we ventured to the Nerman Museum of art for the rest of his session. The modern architecture and clean lines created a space where Drew could stand out and let his smile shine. Between the buildings, landscaping and golden light of sunset, Drew’s images feel effortless and real.
I’ve known Drew and his family for years and even had the pleasure of photographing Drew’s Bar Mitzvah during Covid. He has always been such a bright light and this was such a lovely shoot to be part of! Congrats Drew on everything you have achieved, it has been a joy getting to capture your journey over the years, thank you!
