As the rain passed and the last of daylight dipped below the tree line, we experienced the most amazing honey glow, perfect for extended family photos. This is my absolute favorite time to photograph. With the weather and sunset showing off, all I was left to do was capture the fun-loving and sweet-natured Leftwich family!
My favorite part of capturing extended family photos is when I get to document the connection between kids and grandparents as well. It’s a complete joy to work with generations and document the moments between them. Allowing everyone to be themselves and also to let a little chaos unfold is when the magic happens.
I think people assume that I orchestrate all these moments. However, all I do is make sure everyone is comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.
