The Cowan’s welcomed their third to the family, sweet baby Millie. I loved getting to capture this family of five and the connection they share in the comfort of their home. Millie was a doll the entire shoot and I love the images we captured of her and her siblings. I was very pregnant at this shoot and about to have my third baby as well so it was really sweet to witness them as a family of five!  Congrats Cowan family, Millie is beautiful! Andrea

KC wedding photographer – Kaylie & William

Kaylie & William were married in an intimate ceremony among their close family and it was a pleasure getting to document this moment in their lives. It was beyond cold for their January ceremony but they braved the chill to capture some lovely Plaza rooftop photos afterward. We moved inside to Union Station for some more family photos and I really enjoyed getting to work with this lovely couple and their family!  Congrats again Kaylie & William! Andrea

KC wedding photographer – Garment House – Shelby & Kody

As Shelby and Kody were getting ready, snow started to fall outside and create the most beautiful dusting of white for their wedding day. It may have been chilly outside but these two are so easy going and up for anything that we were able to capture some stunning portraits in the cold. Some of my favorite moments are from their candlelit ceremony at dusk… it was so romantic and intimate, making for really lovely images. I also love the images from Shelby and Kody’s first dance, it was as if no one else was around.  I loved getting to work with these two and it is so easy to see why they make such a wonderful couple! KC wedding photographer- Bentons Westin Crown Center – Jodi & Zane

Jodi and Zane’s wedding was such a fun and emotional wedding to be part of. Every time I turned around, someone was crying tears of joy, laughing or hugging. It was an intimate and lovely ceremony set above the city at Benton’s in Crown Center with sprawling views of KC from every angle. Holiday lights and Christmas decor made this wedding even more festive and I loved the warm and romantic feel it created.  Not that they needed holiday decor to make it romantic because these two are so incredibly in love, they never stopped smiling! The way they embrace, talk to each other and even kiss has meaning behind it. So fun to watch two young people fall so in love and start their journey together. Congrats Jodi and Zane, it was a pleasure documenting your day! Andrea

Indian wedding photography – Grant-Humphreys Mansion, Colorado – Andrea & Abhi

This wedding was so special to photograph for many reasons but mainly because Andrea is a close high school friend of mine! She has always been one of the most authentic and lovely people to be around and I was beyond thrilled when she contacted me to shoot her wedding! This was also my first Indian wedding and it was an incredible celebration. From the Haldi ceremony and Sangeet Party held at Spaces Gallery on Friday, to the Hindu Ceremony and reception on Saturday, I loved getting to document all the amazing moments! Not to mention just how vibrant and beautiful these weddings are! This culture is so rich in tradition and they take great pride in honoring not only the bride and groom but their family as well. Both families were remarkable to work with and I have never felt so included in a wedding day. Watching my friend transform into one of the most stunning brides and marry the man of her dreams was so emotional and wonderful to be part of! Congrats Andrea and Abhi, I am so happy for you guys!!!! Andi

Friday morning the Haldi ceremony was held at Abhi’s parent’s house and consisted of close friends and family.

Friday Night kicked off the colorful celebration with the Sangeet held at Space Gallery in Denver.  Andrea and Abhi entered the party with a choreographed dance.

After getting ready and some portraits around the grounds, Saturday’s festivities began with the Barat, the grooms entrance into the ceremony. This was a such a fun capture with everyone dancing in the street! The Grant-Humphreys Mansion was a beautiful and intimate location for their Hindu Ceremony and reception.
